On Saturday 8th August 2026 we held our latest and widely advertised collection for TWAM (Tools With A Mission). It would be fair to say that almost half of the donations had arrived by arrangement in the preceding days and this had given us the opportunity to carefully pack the majority into “banana boxes”. On the day, for four hours, a myriad of excellent goods arrived steadily – the tidying up taking a further four hours to make the church fit for Sunday service. As a twist on the familiar Harvest display, hand tools, power tools, gardening equipment and sewing items were tastefully displayed along with 3 wonderful bicycles.
On Monday 17th August 2026a van was brought to church by a couple of hard working TWAM volunteers to take the items down to Rugby for refurbishment prior to dispatch in containers for recipients in Africa. With 28 banana boxes full, lots of large, loose tools, boxed sewing machines and three bikes the van filled quickly. Many thanks to all who donated and helped in any way.
